A JADE PEBBLE SNUFF BOTTLE, A JADE 'BOYS' CARVING, A JADEITE SNUFF BOTTLE AND A CORAL CARVING OF A BOY Late Qing Dynasty The pebble snuff bottle of flattened form, of pale celadon hue with brown and russet inclusions, stopper; the boys group carved in the round with five boys; the jadeite bottle in the form of a melon with leafy tendrils, coral stopper; the coral carving modelled as a seated boy with a bat resting on one knee, wood stand, Spink & Son Ltd. box. The pebble bottle 7cm (2 3/4in) long. (8). Footnotes: 清晚期 玉卵石形鼻煙壺, 玉雕童子, 翠玉鼻煙壺及紅珊瑚雕童子 Provenance: from a UK private collection, acquired predominantly from Spink & Son Ltd., London, between 1970 and 1990, by repute.
