Chippendale-style Mahogany Tea Table, Jeffrey Greene (American, b. 1957), Newport, Rhode Island, 2007. Rectangular top set into coved and beaded tray surround over straight apron joined to carved cabriole legs on exquisite open-talon ball-and-claw feet, retaining vertical glue blocks and carved bracket returns, label of Jeffrey Greene affixed to bottom, 83cm wide, 53cm deep, 66cm high (33 1/4in wide, 21in deep, 26 1/2in high). Footnotes: Provenance The collection of Eric van Rooy. The Ball & Claw, Newport, Rhode Island, ordered 5 August 2006.
