A three-piece silver plated tea service after a design by Christopher Dresser Henry Wilkinson, circa 1875, incuse stamped 7001 Circular form, all plain polished with ribbed bands and angular handles, comprising a teapot with hinged cover and conical finial, ivory insulators to the handle and an angular spout; a milk jug and a sugar bowl with shaped handle, each raised on three tapering peg feet, diameter teapot 11cm. Footnotes: For a similar set designed by Dresser for Elkington, see page 164 'Christopher Dresser 1834-1904' by Michael Whiteway. The item within this lot containing ivory has been registered in accordance with the Ivory Act (Section 10).
