Umur (age): From the Javanese Hindu Empire of Majapahit.

The Keris with a straight hand forged Wilah (blade), consists of Pamor steel forged in different layers of iron (pattern type: ‘Pulau Tirto’ = Islands). Dapur in ‘Brojol’(?) shape. Small copper gilded Mendak (cuff) with ‘Untu Walang’ (=grasshopper teeth) between the blade and the hilt. Ukiran (Keris hilt) in ‘Deder Taman’ shape, and carved from Tayuman wood. Warangka (sheath) of ‘Gayaman Taman’ type (‘kidney’ shaped) and made from Kemuning wood patiently carved by hand. Gandar (body) (body) with silver plated Pendok (cover), Bunton Polos with ‘Pakfong’ pattern.
Length of the blade, including ‘Pesi’ (tang of the blade): 33.6 cm. (1x)
Note 1: The period from the thirteenth to the fifteenth century during the reign of the Javanese Hindu empire of Majapahit (1293-1500 CE), is considered the golden age of Indonesian art and culture. Royal artisans from the Majapahit Kingdom produced many masterpieces of art, including various exclusive Kerises and other pusaka (heirloom) treasures.
