Silver gilt rococo teapot warmer
Augsburg, 1765-67
Johann Christoph Engelbrecht (master 1739-1758, workshop continued until about 1767-69).
On three curved rocaille feet, underlaid with wooden balls, the bulbous body with a
swinging, ornamentally pierced rim, three hinged tongues as a base; bulge decorated with
chased flowering twigs and rocaille. Silver, gilded inside and out. Inspection mark at the
bottom, maker's mark ''ICE'' in oval and tremolier line. H. 12,5 cm, Ø 16 cm; total 520 g. -

drei geschwungenen, mit Holzkugeln unterlegten Rocaillenfüßen der bauchige Korpus mit
ausschwingendem, ornamental durchbrochenem Rand, drei scharnierte Zungen als Stellfläche;
Bauchung geziert mit getriebenen Blütenzweigen und Rocaillen. Silber, innen und außen
vergoldet. Am Boden Beschauzeichen, Meistermarke "ICE" im Oval und Tremolierstrich. H.
